Luís Bastos is a contemporary artist based in Sesimbra, Portugal.
“Since abstract art is a solitary activity, it is natural that the themes and focus are always very personal. There is a close relationship between abstract expressionism and the artist's core, at least for me it proves to be so. I feed myself on my experiences, emotions and everything that surrounds me to give life to my creations. It may seem selfish or self-centered, but it is a very intimate, intuitive act, bordering the primordial, almost primitive. I do not always feel that but over time I am learning to interpret this call.”
